Japan Location Short Film Competition June.10.2024
The Motion Picture Association (MPA) and the Japan International Motion picture Copyright Association(MPAJ), with the support of the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), the U.S. Embassy in Japan, Keidanren, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, with cooperation of Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Japan Film Commission (JFC), Digital Hollywood University (DHU) and MPA Japan Board (MPA member film companies) hold the Japan Location-Short Film Competition”.

The competition calls for short films of 60 to 90 seconds in length that showcase potential film locations scattered throughout Japan. Applications must be uploaded to the dedicated website.

Guidelines:
●Anyone can apply, whether amateur or professional.
●Individuals or groups may submit as many entries as they wish.
●There are no restrictions on equipment. Use your smartphone camera, DSLR, professional camera, or any other equipment you like!
●Projects made previously for other competitions may be submitted so long as they meet the entry requirements.
This competition is part of the ‘U.S.-Japan Tourism Year 2024’, which aims to promote mutual visits and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
