ワシントン – モーション・ピクチャー・アソシエーション（MPA）は、プライム・ビデオ & Amazon MGMスタジオがグローバルな業界団体であり、世界最大の映画・テレビ・ストリーミング企業が加盟するMPAの最新メンバーとなることを発表しました。
プライム・ビデオ & Amazon MGMスタジオは10月1日に正式にMPAに加盟し、MPAの7番目の参加企業となり、MPAの加盟企業として、Netflix、パラマウント・ピクチャーズ、ソニー・ピクチャーズ、ユニバーサル・スタジオ、ウォルト・ディズニー・スタジオ、ワーナー・ブラザース・ディスカバリーに加わります。
MPAは国際的な業界団体として、業界の発展、会員のコンテンツ保護、ストーリー・テラーの創造性および芸術的自由の擁護、そして視聴者の選択肢を広げる革新的な配信モデルのサポートに取り組んでいます。
プライム・ビデオ & Amazon MGMスタジオは、2017年より、MPAが主導するAlliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE)の運営委員会メンバーとして、MPAと協力関係にありました。ACEは、世界をリードする反海賊版連合です。また、MGMは1928年から2005年まで、MPAのメンバーでした。リブキンは、2019年にNetflixをこの協会に勧誘しました。
